Who We Are
We are a dynamic group of gaymers (an umbrella term used to refer to the group of people who identify themselves as gay, bisexual, lesbian, or transgender and have an active interest in the gaming community) in the greater Las Vegas area.
We pride ourselves on having members of all ages and from many diverse backgrounds. We’ve hosted various events throughout the years from weekly video game tournaments to Pokemon Go Community Days.
Generally, you can reach us on Social Media if you want to keep up-to-date with everything we are doing or if you want to know what events are coming up! We try to stay as active as possible so that everyone has a chance to take part in one of our events.
History
The Las Vegas Gaymers had their beginnings in 2012 by a post on reddit’s r/Gaymers in response to other posts about location based gaymer groups that lead to the creation of r/LasVegasGaymers.
Our first meetup was at Las Vegas PRIDE 2012 with a humble 7 attendees. From there, we continued to expand at an exponential pace, reaching over 700 queer people across the greater Las Vegas area.
We are looking to the future with the possibilities of connecting with other queer gaming groups across the world to provide a welcoming community for people of all identies and geeky interests.
